TROPICAL STORM ARLENE SLAMS PENSACOLA TODAY
The hurricane season began June 1st and the first tropical storm of the season is heading right towards Pensacola. Tropical Storm Arlene's sustained winds climbed to 70 mph (112 kph), just short of hurricane status and forecasters said it could become a hurricane before hitting U.S. shores sometime today, the same area where Hurricane Ivan struck last year. (Read more at the Pensacola News Journal and follow the storm here.) PLEASE HAVE MERCY, LORD JESUS!

BITTE HAB ERBARMEN, HERR JESUS!

Praise Jesus and thank You, Lord, this storm basically sputtered out and did very minor damage to Pensacola I am please to report!

"We were praying last night," said Darlene Purifoy, 44, of Pensacola, whose roof still has a blue tarp over it. "We lost power, but we didn't get any water inside. That's the most important thing."

I think MANY more people were praying who had been through Ivan last year!
