The Name of Jesus

4/11/08 UPDATE
This time the top 8 of American Idol sang the same song but said, "My Jesus..." You can see it here.

ORIGINAL POST:

Tonight on American Idol I was told they sang 'Shout to the Lord', so not having a tv, I found the clip on youtube and noticed right off that they changed the words!

Well, they changed One Word... the MOST IMPORTANT WORD... JESUS.

The song begins with, 'My Jesus, my Saviour...' but they sang 'My shepherd, my saviour..."

The name of Jesus was never mentioned so for all we know, they could be singing about a new age guru shepherd.

Thank you so much for the list of scriptures. Reading them all together gives an impact of how important the name is.
Some Believers are now saying that we must call Jesus by His birth name: "Yeshua".
I believe that the purpose is to get back to the Jewish roots of Jesus because at the Council of Niea, and, the Nicean Creed, in the 300's Constantine & "they" created a false church, calling it christianity and making Jesus to appear to be Greekish, rather than of Isreal, Jewish.

The deliverance intercessors are praying to bring the times (the calendar feasts changed to pagan worship days) and all things back into order before Faith in Jesus got made into a false church.
The foundations got moved, pray now to line back up onto the true foundation. Remove the counterfit.

This is new information to me and I am pondering it. It seems odd to start saying "Yeshua" rather than "Jesus", but if that is actually His birth name, we should be calling Him by that, because the name is so powerful.
Sometimes I say "Jehovah" just to make sure people know Which God I am talking about.
